I got a new camera the other week, a Canon EOS 450d, went out on a long-ish walk in Lynbrook and took this one god photo before it got too cold and dark. It's a long exposure, the lighting was the moon and street lights off to the side, it was basically totally dark when I took this. Pretty happy with how it came out

i am a beginner, you can say a student, i dont know anything about professional photography at all, but i really started to like it just because of deviantART.
Well I have a Canon and it's pretty good, Nikons are better in my opinion but a lot more expensive. But I do like Canons, they are pretty user friendly, but not as advanced as a Nikon.
Maybe have a look at Canons, mine is the 450d, the newer one is 500d, similar, but has HD video on it too, though without Auto Focus, if you walk around it will go in and out of focus.
